# What happens if I lose or someone steals my MAFIA token?

Unfortunately we cannot help you. If you lose your MAFIA token, or if someone steals it, it's gone forever. If you're new to crypto, do NOT ever give you your private key, seed phrase, or engage in any smart contracts that you're not familiar with. It's best to sit and hold on to your MAFIA.
